Contenu et structure

The online training module is divided into five comprehensive steps:  Step 1: Self-Reflection and Teamwork Participants explored self-awareness, the qualities of a changemaker, effective teamwork strategies, and YouthBank’s golden rules.  Step 2: Values, Challenges, and Changes This step emphasized analysing and prioritizing community issues, equipping participants to advocate for meaningful change.  Step 3: Necessary Skills for Change Focused on building key skills like securing funding, community mobilization, stakeholder communication, and partnership development to bring ideas to fruition.  Step 4: Grant Management Process Covered the end-to-end grant cycle, including promoting calls for proposals, evaluating submissions, interviewing project authors, and selecting initiatives for funding.  Step 5: Monitoring and Reflection Participants learned how to monitor funded projects, create work plans, reflect on outcomes, and celebrate achievements.  The training encouraged active participation through assignments like videos, posters, and written reflections, ensuring both individual growth and collaborative learning.

Méthodologie

The training will leverage a blended online learning approach to provide an interactive and engaging experience for participants. Using YouthBank International’s online learning platform, young people will create personalized profiles and complete a structured five-step course designed to cover all essential YouthBank principles. The methodology will emphasize self-paced learning through short videos, texts, and quizzes, complemented by interactive group and individual assignments submitted on collaborative tools like Padlet. Participants will earn badges upon completing each step, fostering a sense of achievement and progress. Additionally, four live Zoom sessions will be organized to deepen understanding, address questions, and reinforce key concepts through group discussions and activities in breakout rooms. This combination of asynchronous learning and real-time interaction will ensure a well-rounded and practical training experience.
