According to the 2022 Basic Statistics on Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) published by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups of the Republic of Korea, there are approximately 8.04 million SMEs in the country, accounting for 99.9 % of all enterprises and serving as the backbone of the regional economy.
The University of the Philippines-Centre International de Formation des Autorités et Leaders Philippines (UP-CIFAL Philippines) is one of the 33 global CIFAL centers which is affiliated with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) that promotes the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through capacity building and research.
The Airports and Economic Development Global Training Programme comprises four strategic two- day intensive workshops scheduled throughout 2025, strategically distributed across key global regions: Africa, North America, Asia, and Latin America.
The training is part of the project “Enhanced Geospatial Decision Support for Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Resilience in Papua New Guinea (GeoDRR PNG)”, implemented by UNITAR-UNOSAT in collaboration with UNDP Papua New Guinea.
