Objectifs de l'événement

Raise awareness about the dangers of driving under the influence of alcohol and promote a change in this habit.

Arrière plan

In 2022, more than half of the drivers who died in traffic accidents in Spain had consumed alcohol, drugs, or psychotropic medications, with a notable increase in the presence of antidepressants and opioids. Additionally, 72.6% of those who tested positive for alcohol had extremely high levels, and nearly half were between 25 and 45 years old. To address this issue, Diageo, AESLEME, and CIFAL Málaga have launched awareness sessions at the Local Police Office to educate drivers about the dangers of impaired driving. Their collaboration aims to change the driving habits of up to five million people by 2030.

Contenu et structure

The workshop was highly interactive and included real data on the percentage of people who have driven under the influence of alcohol. Additionally, a firsthand testimony was shared from someone who experienced a traffic accident due to this issue and how it changed their life. Furthermore, a group of officers from the Malaga Local Police had the opportunity to learn new techniques and analyze relevant cases to enhance awareness of the dangers of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Méthodologie

The workshop was conducted at Malaga Local Police´s office.
