Chaminade University of Honolulu hosts a campus-made, campus-inspired Open Market Place every semester that provides a space for Chaminade University ʻohana to sell their hand-made crafts, as well as local vendors to sell their delicious foods.

With transportation networks serving as vital lifelines for communities, the symposium achieved its goal of raising awareness and mobilizing resources to bolster the resilience of these essential systems and protect the economies by reducing disruption to industries and people’s livelihoods.

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) provide a comprehensive framework for addressing global challenges and achieving sustainable development. This course is designed to provide economic developers with a deep understanding of the SDGs and their direct relevance to their work.

This course proposal arises within the framework of the Mediterranean Sustainability Observatory.

The purpose of the SDG Affinity Group is to create micro-workshops and experiential learning environment that aids faculty and staff in gaining a deeper understanding of CIFAL Honolulu and the SDGs. We will share the role SDGs can play in fostering quality education for our students, community, and ourselves.

CIFAL Research Sprint is a student-led research opportunity that allows students to research an SDG-related problem. $500 mini-grants is given for support. 8-weeks. 

Within the complex array of global risks identified so far, a notable pattern emerges: the vicious cycle of crisis, conflict, climate change, unemployment, and gaps in decent work . This interconnectedness reveals that violent conflict, climate-related risks, and disasters are intertwined with unemployment and lack of decent work opportunities.
