I Am A Scientist is an STEM outreach program that delivers exceptional hands-on STEM activities to Hawaiʻi and the broader Pacific. IAS is free and visits different classrooms and community events offering STEM activites that focus on biology, chemistry, forensic science, and more while focusing on the techniques and equipment. The purpose is to make STEM more accessible and less intimidating.

This event covers a conversation with the creators, actors, and other key individuals behind the production. The purpose of the interview was to provide insight into the making of the show, the inspiration behind the story, and the cultural and historical elements depicted in the series.

York University serves as a reception and decontamination centre for those who may be affected by a nuclear accident in the Greater Toronto Area. An exercise hosted by OPG and the City of Toronto’s Emergency Management team is designed to test response capabilities and strengthen the partnership between all of the stakeholders involved.

One of the core outcomes of EMERITUS will be the creation of a training program for Police Authorities & other security practitioners focused on environmental crime investigation. The training program is based on 3 sessions delivered in Italy, Greece and Spain respectively.

AMEX is holding a health and safety fair for their employees to raise awareness about the importance of personal safety and emergency preparedness planning at home and in the workplace. 

AMR (Antimicrobial Resistance) kills and debilitates millions of people annually, especially in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). It also turns back years of progress on the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in global health, food safety and security, economic growth, poverty alleviation, and the environment.

Use of drone in industry, government, non-governmental operations, education, research and training is growing. Understanding and ability to operate drones for such purposes is becoming an important skill that everyone can have in its skillset.

Over the course of four weeks, participants will create a blueprint for their entrepreneurial idea, whether it's for a  business, organization, or community improvement.

The course is based on the promotion and enhancement of the concept of slow tourism, an alternative tourism choice in contrast to mass tourism. The main objective of slow tourism is to develop the tourist’s greater personal awareness by enhancing sustainability.
