Objectifs du cours
The objective of this online certificate is to support participants in strengthening their leadership capacity by exploring diverse leadership styles and strategies in a highly interactive format. The sessions highlight how diverse factors influence leadership practices through a gender lens and by focusing on self-confidence, assertive communication, and community-building. Through the four modules below, participants will be able to lead authentically while cultivating supportive professional networks.
The certificate also offers practical tools to recognize gender stereotypes and challenge these dynamics while encouraging collaboration with all stakeholders in advancing equality and inclusivity. Beyond the acquisition of knowledge and skills, the programme fosters a dynamic and engaging environment where participants can actively participate, exchange experiences, and build a strong sense of community. By equipping participants to leverage their authentic strengths and capabilities, the online certificate contributes to creating more inclusive professional spaces.
Contexte
In today’s global context, gender-inclusive leadership offers valuable perspectives that contribute to building effective and forward-looking organizations.
The “Women’s Leadership: Make Your Voice Heard” Online Certificate equips participants with the tools and strategies to not only succeed but also excel in leadership roles by embracing their unique strengths and perspectives. Over the course of four interactive workshops, participants will explore different dimensions of leadership, learn to deconstruct and challenge gender stereotypes in the workplace, and strengthen their skills in persuasive communication, negotiation, and strategic relationship-building.
The sessions provide a practical and supportive environment where self-confidence is nurtured, communication skills are sharpened, and opportunities for strategic collaboration are fostered through the cultivation of authentic strengths for growth and leadership.

By the end of this online certificate, participants will be able to:

Contenu et structure
The online certificate has been designed as an innovative and foundational course for women navigating leadership in international and multilateral environments, aiming to unlock and structure their approach to leadership styles, build resilience and stakeholder management skills, and navigate institutional dynamics.
The workshops will follow the following structure:
- Module 1: Different Dimensions of Leadership
- Module 2: Persuasive Communication, Negotiations and Strategic Relationship-Building
- Module 3: Deconstructing Gender Stereotypes in the Workplace: Challenging Unconscious Bias
- Module 4: Growth and Confident Leadership: Women’s Authentic Strengths
The e-workshop will run for 12 hours, taking place over four sessions from 27 May to 4 June 2026. The first two modules will be held on 27 and 29 May from 14:00 to 17:00 CET (UTC+1) and the third and fourth modules are tentatively scheduled on 2 and 4 June from 14:00 to 17:00 CET (UTC+1).
Méthodologie
The programme adopts a highly interactive and applied learning approach, designed to deliver tangible and immediately applicable outcomes.
Through a combination of simulations, scenario-based exercises, and guided discussions, participants will engage with real-world challenges and develop practical tools to strengthen their leadership practice. The methodology places strong emphasis on peer learning and exchange, enabling participants to learn from diverse professional experiences while expanding their networks.
Structured self-reflection exercises are integrated throughout the programme to support participants in identifying their leadership strengths, refining their approach and translating insights into concrete actions.
Sessions are delivered online via Zoom, using a format designed to ensure a high level of engagement comparable to face-to-face workshops.

The online training is designed for early- and mid-career professionals seeking to integrate gender-inclusive leadership practices, particularly those working in international and multilateral environments. It is especially suited for women in managerial roles, community leaders and professionals aspiring to strengthen their leadership capacity and influence.
The programme combines personal development with practical, skills-based learning, equipping participants with tools to navigate and address gender-related barriers in professional settings. Through interactive e-workshops and peer exchange, it supports both individual growth and organisational impact, enabling participants to lead with greater confidence, clarity and influence.

Scholarship and Fee Waivers
A limited number of fee waivers and scholarships will be awarded to exceptional candidates from Least Developed Countries (LDCs) and Small Island Developing States (SIDS). Interested applicants are kindly invited to submit their CV and passport for consideration.
Certification
Participants who attend and participate in the sessions will receive a UNITAR certificate of participation.

UNITAR will not provide refunds for customers who face technical issues beyond UNITAR's direct control. UNITAR recommends that all prospective participants test Zoom for free at Zoom.us prior to confirming their payment.
