QCPR Roadmap

Please note that participants are able to attend the 2024 QCPR Training Series both in person at UNHQ and via Webcast. Webcast information will be shared with all registrants the day prior to each Module. Thank you.

This module will delve into critical aspects of the funding for UN operational activities for development and financing the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The scene is set by outlining the insights and outcomes provided during this 2024 ECOSOC operational activities for development segment (OAS) and its implications for the 2024 QCPR. The module will present an overview of system-wide funding trends and the renewed Funding Compact. This conversation will deepen participants’ technical understanding of the structures of different funds, as well as conditions around the funding. Additionally, participants will discuss how collaboration with International Financial Institutions (IFIs) and multilateral development banks (MDBs) can be further leveraged to bolster financing and coordinate activities in support of SDG acceleration. Looking ahead to 2028, participants will explore what is needed to finance significant SDG acceleration and ensure sustainable funding patterns.
