UNITAR, together with the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR), the Government of Mexico, CIFAL Merida and CIFAL Istanbul, is hosting a special virtual roundtable event to discuss the significant strategies of "Disaster Risk Reduction" and to promote disaster resilient societies through global advisory and training initiatives while supporting the implementation of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk
Reduction and advancement of the Making Cities Resilient campaign.

Join us next Wednesday for this exciting discussion and learn more about the best practices and key lessons learned, focusing on disaster prone countries, in order to build back better as per the United Nation's vocation.

This event brings together representatives from these key stakeholder groups to discuss in practical terms the measures governments and other stakeholders can take to ensure that this vital component of our societies is not left behind – now more than ever.

Participation is open to government officials, diplomats, staff of international organizations, development practitioners, faculty members, and administrators of educational institutions.
