In the framework of the 7th edition of the UNOG-UNITAR Geneva Lecture Series, Mr. Carlos Slim Helu, President of the Carlos Slim Foundation, Co-Chair of the ITU-UNESCO Broadband Commission for Digital Development and a famous businessman and philantropist, was invited to share his insights and discuss with the audience gathered at the Palais des Nations in Geneva and, via a video link, at UN HQ in New York, the impact of new technologies on the world of business and our lives, as well as their role in achieving the goal of universal access to knowledge and in creating equal opportunities for all. The event was broadcast live on UN official website.
