Time: 10 AM - 1 PM EST (23 April 2025)

Location: UNHQ - Conference Room F

This session will explore special strategies for generating movement in mediation, helping participants move beyond impasse and towards resolution. Key techniques from the last session such as summarizing, reframing, asking powerful questions, and using silence effectively will be revisited to explore how these tactics can generate movement and overcome obstacles in mediations. Participants will also learn how to utilize caucuses, agenda setting, and reality testing to ensure party self-determination and provide a space to tackle challenging questions. The session will highlight the use of hearing proposals, role reversal, and persuasive tactics to help parties understand different perspectives and reach mutually agreeable solutions. Through practical exercises and demonstrations, attendees will gain valuable insights into driving progress in challenging mediation scenarios.

Only individuals with UNHQ Grounds passes will be able to participate in this program.
