The personal data of participants applying for, registering for or participating in UNITAR's training courses and other events is governed by the Data Protection and Privacy Policy. At the end of the programme, participants should be able to:
• Analyze how diplomatic negotiations are conducted;
• Develop effective communication strategies for more productive negotiations;
• Understand the main techniques, rules, and processes of diplomatic negotiation and its specific requirements within a multilateral framework such as the UN;
• Become familiar with the origin, purposes, strengths and challenges of multilateral diplomacy;
• Demonstrate public speaking and presentation techniques – including preparation, structure and delivery;
• Identify personal strengths and weaknesses as presenters.
