UNITAR Briefing for Delegates - The WTO Bali Package: A New Hope for Multilateralism? (English)
During this two-hour briefing organized by the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, the Panel will discuss the Outcomes of the WTO’s Bali Package and its implications for the Multilateral Trading System. This Briefing is uniquely designed to equip participants with the practices and competencies required to understand the underlying issues in relation to international trade in a short span of time.

This briefing is a two-hour event which focuses on improving participants’ appreciation of the Outcomes of the WTO’s Bali Package. It will take the shape of a Panel Discussion which will be led by a moderator and animated by high-level experts and practitioners. At the end of the briefing, there will be an opportunity for Q&A.
This briefing, conducted at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, is designed primarily for Geneva-based trade delegates from Developing Countries and LDCs who would like to improve their knowledge of and access the most-up-to-date information on the Bali Package. A number of seats will be available for international civil servants to participate as observers provided they have received a confirmation of registration.
