The United Nations Career Development Programme - CCIPE
The UN Career Development Programme is 4 weeks of length, comprises a total workload of 40-45 hours and is open for a maximum of 50 participants. It aims at building up participants’ knowledge and skills on the UN with a specific focus on entry level positions. Its purpose is to bring participants to the point where they will be able to confidently and effortlessly apply for jobs in the UN system.
- E-Learning Component (35 % of total workload)
One e-Learning module per week, focused on the UN system and skills development - 4-5 hours of studying per week:
- Module 1: The United Nations System
- Module 2: Conference Diplomacy
- Module 3: Negotiation Skills
- Module 4: Cosmopolitan Communication
2. Live Component (65 % of total workload)
2-3 live components per week, 10-12 such sessions in total on the following topics:
- Understanding the UN System
- CV and Cover Letter Writing
- Career Planning
- Job Interview Training
UNITAR´s Online Training Programmes run on UNITAR´s virtual learning platform. Participants receive log-in credentials to this platform via email on the Friday before the course´s starting date. All UNITAR Online Training Programmes contain the following basic components:

- Assessment Quizzes - Live Component
- 1.5 hour Live-Webinars
- 3 hour E- Workshop
- 2 hour virtual Guided Tour - Optional Additional Component: Projects
- Group Presentations
- Model United Nations (MUN) Simulation

UNITAR will be responsible for the overall design, coordination and implementation of the Training Programme. It will liaise with participants on a regular basis prior to the activity's implementation in order to ensure a smooth and flawless organization for everyone involved.
The participants are responsible for ensuring they are in possession of the basic necessary hardware, software and connectivity to engage in online training activities.
