The summer course was dedicated to an analysis of the challenges associated with water scarcity in the Mediterranean, focusing on the search for innovative solutions and the development of recommendations aimed at reducing the region's water stress, which is strongly exacerbated by the consequences of climate change.

The main organizations that have recently carried out outstanding work in this field (World Bank, Mediterranean Institute for Water, MedyWat, World Water Institute, Union for the Mediterranean, Plan Bleu, GWPMed, Spanish Hydrographic Confederations Ebro, Júcar, Guadalquivir, etc.) were invited to present their work and encourage dialogue within the framework of several round tables on different topics.

This course provided a learning opportunity for participants from different regions of Spain, as well as from other countries in the Mediterranean, who could discuss and share innovative solutions and jointly develop policy recommendations.
