
CIFAL Istanbul - Training and Consultancy Program for the Sustainability Transformation of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs)
Participants will be able to understand the core principles of sustainability in the context of SMEs. This certificate programme was organized in collaboration with the Zafer Development Agency and TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM), focusing on the sustainability transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Turkey. The programme aimed to raise awareness and build capacity among business leaders and stakeholders on sustainable practices, green technologies, and environmental responsibility in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The programme included a series of expert-led lectures, case studies, and discussion sessions covering the fundamentals of sustainability, environmental management, and innovation strategies tailored for SMEs. Key topics included circular economy models, carbon footprint reduction, energy efficiency, and the integration of SDGs into business operations. Sessions also introduced public policy tools and funding mechanisms available to SMEs through national and international platforms. The hybrid structure allowed for both in-person networking and online accessibility, ensuring wider participation. The programme concluded with interactive workshops and a final evaluation session.
The programme was delivered using a hybrid format, combining face-to-face sessions with online modules. It included expert presentations, interactive discussions, and practical workshops to ensure active engagement and knowledge retention.
