
CIFAL Istanbul - NTD3105 Assessment of Nutritional Status in Society
The aim of this course is to assess the health and nutritional status of different groups in society. The methods used to evaluate the nutrition and health status of the general population as well as specific groups (such as pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, school-age children, etc.) will be discussed in detail.

The content of this course includes direct and indirect methods used to assess nutritional status, anthropometric measurements, biochemistry, biophysics, clinical examination, dietary studies, ecological factors affecting nutritional status, and health statistics related to nutrition. As this is a highly important professional course, a strict 70% attendance requirement will be closely monitored.
This course encourages knowledge with two books provided by the lecturer alongside assessing knowledge with one midterm and one final.
