Background

The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) New York Office and the Permanent Mission of Singapore are pleased to host a timely and insightful lecture featuring Ambassador for International Law of Singapore, Mrs Rena Lee. 

Drawing from her firsthand experience, Ambassador Lee will offer unique insights into the practical challenges and strategic approaches to chairing complex multilateral negotiations, and the lessons learned during the negotiation process. 

This briefing is designed specifically for diplomats and delegates, offering a focused opportunity to deepen their understanding of the role of multilateralism in addressing complex global issues. Ambassador Lee will also discuss practical steps forward as countries work to implement this landmark agreement.
