The Ibero-american Road Safety Congress (CISEV) was firstly held in Costa Rica in 2008, with the aim of sharing knowledge and experiences on road safety in Latin American countries.  After a successful first edition, CISEV continued on its way, stopping in Argentina (2010), Colombia (2012), Mexico (2014) and Chile (2016); CISEV is now recognized as the main road safety event in the Region.

CISEV not only promotes road safety, but also ensures the sharing of best practices in road safety and emerging new technologies, research work, road safety communications and campaigns, international reports.

The general objective of all editions of CISEV is the improvement of road safety in the Region of Latin America and Caribbean by means of sharing best practices and setting up of common road safety objectives and policies for the next future.

The sixth edition of CISEV is particularly focused on the looking for solutions for more safe and sustainable cities and roads. Plenary sessions and panels will share different perspectives from the public and private fields on this field, also considering the contributions from the academia, media, NGO, etc.  

 

The sixth edition of CISEV has been structured in the following sessions:

Plenary session “Management of road safety”.
Plenary session “Safer roads”.
Plenary session “Safer road users”.

Panel 1: Public policies on road safety.
Panel 2: Pedestrians, cyclists and motorcyclists in the center of the seeking for solutions.
Panel 3: Improving the safety of the main road network.
Panel 4: Innovation for a more sustainable mobility in urban and rural areas.
Panel 5: Vehicles and insurance sector, potential for the improvement of road safety.
Panel 6: Work-related road risk management.
Panel 7: Innovation for safer users.
Panel 8: Roundtable on compromises for the next decade.

Sessions for different presentations from the academia, civil organizations, private sector, etc. on different fields of safety.

The Conference will include short presentations and panels of government authorities and road safety experts.

This Congress is intended for decision-makers from local governments, representatives of national governments, private sector and NGOs, and international organizations who are involved in the road safety sector in Latin America Region.
