The event aims to strenghens participants' leadership capabilities by equiping them with practical skills and insights to lead effectively, make sound decisions, communicate and influence others, and navigate complex and changing environments. It also seeks to foster cross-sectoral exchange, professional networking and peer learning, while providing participants with direct insight from distinguinshed leaders and practical approaches they can apply in their professional environments.

Leadership is being exercised in an increasingly complex and rapidly changing environment. Today's leaders are expected to make decisions amid uncertainty, manage diverse and high-performing teams, build trust, navigate competing priorities, communicate effectively, respond to change, and influence individuals and stakeholders beyond their direct authority.
At the same time, traditional notions of leadership are evolving. Leaders operate across increasingly interconnected environments where decisions may be influenced by technological transformation, geopolitical developments, organizational change, economic uncertainty, shifting public expectations and the growing importance of collaboration across sectors.
The ability to lead effectively therefore requires more than technical expertise or formal authority. It requires self-awareness, sound judgment, emotional intelligence, effective communication, strategic thinking, resilience, adaptability and the ability to influence and inspire others.
UNITAR Workshop on Leadership Skills: Influence, Decision-Making and Impact is designed as a two-day immersive workshop development experience that provides participants with an opportunity to strengthen and reflect on their leadership capabilities through structured learning, practical exercises, facilitated discussions and interaction with distinguished leaders.
The programme will combine a coherent, facilitator-led leadership curriculum with exclusive end-of-day leadership conversations featuring distinguished leaders from different sectors and professional backgrounds. These conversations will enable participants to connect leadership theory and practice by hearing directly from individuals who have exercised leadership in complex, high-stakes and demanding environments.
The programme will provide a unique space for participants from diverse professional backgrounds to learn, reflect, exchange perspectives and develop practical approaches that can be applied within their respective organizations and professional environments.

The UNITAR Workshop on Leadership Skills: Influence, Decision-Making and Impact will be led by an experienced leadership trainer and facilitator, providing continuity and coherence throughout the two-day programme. The facilitator will guide participants through the key dimensions of effective leadership, combining practical insights with opportunities for application and reflection. The programme will feature a highly interactive format, including experiential exercises, group discussions, practical applications, and individual reflection, enabling participants to explore leadership concepts and translate them into practical skills for their professional contexts.

UNITAR Workshop on Leadership Skills: Influence, Decision-Making and Impact will adopt a highly interactive, participant-centred and practice-oriented learning methodology.

Participants who have attended all the sessions will receive a certificate of participation.
