CIFAL Malaga - Cybersecurity Course - UTEL

The general objective of the course is to train professionals capable of understanding the role of intelligence, cyber-intelligence, cyber-terrorism and cybersecurity in the field of administration, business and non-governmental institutions. This general objective is specified in specific training and learning objectives, the achievement of which by following the syllabus designed will enable students to acquire the knowledge and professional skills necessary to be able to work in these areas.
Cyber Intelligence will allow us, through the use of methodology traditionally used in police and military intelligence, to differentiate the different phases and stages through which an input, data or information must pass in order to become intelligence that can fulfil the function of reducing uncertainty for the decision-maker, by allowing us to detect possible threats and challenges, which can be combated proactively by allowing us to anticipate the risks that our organisation may face in the course of its activity.

Nine synchronous sessions will be held, the first five bimonthly and the last four monthly, each lasting 1 hour, on the following topics:

5.-Open SourceINTelligence Tools
6.-Research in the DeepWeb
7.-Social Network Analysis
8.-Cyber Terrorism
9.-Threat IntelligenceCyber
During the course, a theoretical and practical approach will be taken to what cybersecurity is and how to tackle it proactively, through cyber-intelligence.
If the student has attended all the sessions and has passed at least 80% of the session evaluations (7 of the 9 sessions) with at least 50% of the questions answered satisfactorily, the student will have access to obtain the CIFAL Malaga-UNITAR Certificate of Completion, which certifies having successfully acquired the contents of the course.
