CIFAL Madrid- Education on Child Road Safety
Every 3 minutes a child dies in the world as a result of a traffic accident. 260,000 die every year and a million are seriously injured. In Latin America, 20,000 children die every year due to traffic accidents, being the main cause of death in children between 5 and 14 years old. As a result of traffic accidents, every day 20 children suffer injuries, 35 die, and around 344 are injured hospitalized and 6,522 are injured not hospitalized in Spain.
The aim of this event is to promote and carry out training opportunities to parents to improve child road safety.
This event comprises the following topics:
• Child restraint chairs, use and correct installation.
• Bicycle workshop, equipment and traffic regulations.
• Road safety questions and answers game.
The event is comprised of lectures, practical exercises and question and answer sessions.
