The 3rd Workshop wants to continue advancing in the elaboration of the final document of the Strategy of the FEMP, will address the "zero draft" of the Action Plan of the 2030 Agenda, and it will deepen in the role of the local governments in the location of the New Spanish Urban Agenda recently presented (SDG 11) and in the role and challenges to which decentralized cooperation for development is faced within the framework of the 2030 Agenda.

1. Inform and advance on what it means to "locate" the 2030 Agenda for Spanish local governments.

2. Present the progress in locating the 2030 Development Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals in Spain and their impact at the local level.

3. To sensitize and promote the "pedagogy of development" in the definition of the new local strategic plans.

4. Promote and encourage the alignment and monitoring of local plans with the implementation of the SDGs.

5. To know and inform about the strategies of localization of the SDGs implemented at the global, European and Spanish levels.

6. Generate alliances that favor the implementation of the SDGs in the Spanish local area.

 

The course will be structured in the following presentations:

  • High Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development: Progress on the Action Plan for the Implementation of the 2030 Agenda and the Voluntary Review Report of Spain
  • Action Plan for the Implementation of the 2030 Agenda: contributions from local governments and the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces
  • Analysis of the lever policies (I): The V Master Plan of the Spanish Cooperation

 

 

 

The course will be based on several presentations after which debates with audience will take place.

Executives, managers and municipal technicians responsible for monitoring the implementation of the 2030 development agenda.
