Event Objectives

Sustainable humanitarian and development interventions depend on the ability of organizations to secure adequate funding. This course is designed to equip aspiring and practising humanitarians, as well as government MDA personnel, with the knowledge and skills needed to identify funding opportunities, develop successful grant proposals, and attract local and international funding for project and organizational sustainability.

Background

The training is IHSSD training and capacity building programme for Humanitarians, NGOs workers, Organization’s Executives and Government Humanitarian Related MDAs to understand the technicalities, and best approach in attracting funds from donors through grant application and proposal writing.

Learning Objectives

At the end of the training participants’ will; 

  • Acquire practical knowledge of how to write & prepare a grant worthy project proposal
  • Be able to develop a concept note that is globally accepted
  • Learn how to position an NGO for both local and international funding
  • Develop a workplan  
  • Understand the best approach to engage donors/funders and their requirements
