Objetivos del evento

The main goal of this project is to strengthen the knowledge and skills of CUNEF University students to pursue careers in international organizations, the European Union, and related fields.

The project also seeks to help students better understand the workings of the EU and its institutions, the relationship between the EU and the UN, and to develop key soft skills such as negotiation and public speaking. In addition, the programme will provide a unique opportunity for students to gain first-hand exposure to international institutions through a field visit to Brussels (Belgium), and to reflect on how they can position themselves for international career opportunities.

The training programme will organize a one-day in-person workshop in Madrid (Spain) focusing on building an international career. The aim is to equip students with an understanding of the skills, competencies and personal development needed to pursue careers in international organizations. It will help them reflect on their professional goals, build confidence in presenting themselves for competitive recruitment processes, and enhance their awareness on the different international career opportunities available

Antecedentes

Building on the recent discussions held with CUNEF University, UNITAR is pleased to propose a training programme for students from CUNEF University. This programme is designed to help students better understand international career pathways and strengthen their knowledge of European and international institutions.

In today’s globalized world, a solid understanding of the European Union and its institutions is a key asset for young professionals aiming to pursue careers in international organizations, diplomacy, public affairs or foreign policy. In addition, core skills such as negotiation, intercultural communication and an understanding of EU-UN cooperation are increasingly sought after. Providing university students with exposure to these topics, and first-hand experience of key institutions, can help them broaden their career horizons and equip them with practical tools for their professional future.

This training programme is designed to be directly relevant to students of international business, economics, politics, philosophy and related fields who are interested in a successful international career.
