Antecedentes

The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) are proud to launch the call for applications for the “Pathway to Prosperity: Upskilling Selangor’s professionals for a digital future” programme. This initiative aims to address the growing demand for skilled tech talent in Malaysia by providing cutting-edge training in AI and data centre operations.

This intensive programme is expected to empower participants with the technical skills and practical experience needed to thrive in the digital economy. By the end of the programme, participants will have a strong foundation in AI, data centre management, and cloud computing, validated by pre and post training assessments and a prestigious, globally recognised certification.

Participants will engage in a multiphase learning journey, benefit from masterclasses with industry experts, and connect with a network of peers, significantly enhancing their career prospects and their ability to contribute greater value to their organization.

Contenido y estructura

This fully-funded hybrid programme is designed to equip professionals residing in Selangor with in-demand skills in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data centre management, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and job-ready expertise. As a professional, whether you are looking to transition into the AI field or aiming to drive innovation within your current role, this programme is designed to help  achieve your professional goals.

The programme features a comprehensive hybrid curriculum, including online learning, live webinars, and exclusive in-person workshops in Selangor, culminating in a certificate of completion.

Programme Timeline

  • Application Deadline: 10 November, 2025
  • Cohort 1 Start Date: 15 November, 2025
  • Cohort Duration: 15 November 2025 – 8 February 2026
  • Final Conference & Certification Ceremony: September/October 2026
Metodología

Participants will gain access to a world-class learning experience and a unique set of opportunities:

  • Expert-Led Hybrid Training: A comprehensive curriculum covering AI fundamentals, data centre operations, networking, systems management, and more, delivered through a blend of online learning and in-person workshops.

  • Hands On In-Person Workshops: Participate in three days of intensive, in-person training in Selangor, focusing on practical skills, advanced problem-solving, and collaborative team projects.

Público objetivo

The programme is open to motivated professionals who meet the following criteria:

  • Professional Status: An early or mid-career professional.
  • Location: Currently residing and/or working in Selangor, Malaysia.
  • Sector: Ideally working within the Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (SME), Information Technology (IT), or Tech sectors.
  • Language: Must have proficiency in English, as all training will be delivered in English.
  • Commitment: Must be fully committed to completing the entire hybrid programme, including online modules and mandatory in-person sessions in Selangor.
  • Aspiration: Passionate about developing future-proof skills and advancing a career in AI and data centre operations.
