Road traffic crashes remain a pressing global concern, claiming thousands of lives each year and impacting countless individuals and families. Recognizing the urgent need for comprehensive road safety measures, the 19th International Conference "Contemporary Road Safety Aspects” is set to take place on 8 November 2024 at the Conference Center of the Museum of the Second World War in Gdańsk. This event is organized in anticipation of the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims, an annual observance dedicated to honoring those who have lost their lives or suffered injuries in road traffic incidents.

A key contribution will come from the International Training Centre for Authorities and Leaders (CIFAL) in Płock, whose Executive Director, Mr. Artur Zieliński, will emphasize the essential role of education in preventing road traffic crashes. In line with this, the Autosobriety Training Programme will be presented as a vital tool in combatting drunk driving, particularly among young and future drivers. Through knowledge-sharing and strategic discussions, the conference seeks to reinforce the collective commitment to fostering safer roads and reducing traffic-related fatalities.

The conference aims to serve as a platform for discussing innovative strategies and collaborative efforts to enhance road safety in Poland. Hosted by the Provincial Police Headquarters in Gdańsk, the Education, Health, Safety Foundation, and the Road Safety Center, the event will highlight interdisciplinary approaches to road safety, the integration of first aid as a critical component of traffic response, and the impact of road infrastructure on user behavior.
