背景信息

Formerly called the GIS for the United Nations and International Community Conference, this revamped event explores how ESRI’s ArcGIS platform empowers the international community to achieve the global development goals. The event is co-hosted by UNITAR’s Operational Satellite Application Programme (UNOSAT), and ESRI.

活动目标

The world has seen the power and importance of GIS to prepare, manage, and deliver successful programs. This year, the timing is right to reflect on past successes and focus on how to respond to crises, adjust to a changing climate, and foster peace for the future.

The 2021 GIS for a Sustainable World Conference will be unlike any previous event. As we adapt to a virtual setting, we've selected some of the most engaging speakers, reformatted Lightning Talks, and provided opportunities to start productive conversations.

In addition, we will be announcing the launch of the Humanitarian ArcGIS Hub site, an all-inclusive database of humanitarian solutions, maps, data, success stories, and much more.

Register to learn how to:
• Understand the scope, scale, and impact of an emergency.
• Use data to analyze and plan missions.
• Use real-time tracking to mobilize field teams.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and sustainability with indicators and information sharing.

Join us virtually April 20–21 as we explore how location intelligence is transforming humanitarian aid efforts. It's clear that together we can make a powerful difference.
