International Aviation: Intro to States' Action Plans to Reduce CO2

This e-tutorial aims to build an understanding of the importance of States’ Action Plans to address CO2 emissions from the international aviation sector. By establishing close cooperation among all stakeholders, it will help facilitate the selection, adoption and implementation of the most appropriate measures to reduce the CO2 emissions.
The tutorial has been developed by the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) in collaboration with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
Action Plans will support the improvement of efficiency and thereby contribute to the global environmental aspirational goals established by the ICAO Assembly.

Through its engagement at the national and global levels, UN CC:Learn contributes to the implementation of Article 6 of the UNFCCC on training, education and public awareness-raising, and the 2012-2020 Doha Work Programme. Funding for UN CC:Learn is provided by the Swiss Government and UN partners. The Secretariat for UN CC:Learn is hosted by the UN Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR).
