Spanish Olympic Committee (COE)

背景信息

Due to the success obtained in previous editions, the Spanish Olympic Committee (COE), in collaboration with CIFAL Málaga-UNITAR, presents the fourth edition of the course "Sustainability in the Sports Sector", a training initiative designed to facilitate access to knowledge, tools and best practices in sustainability within the sports ecosystem.

This training action was born with the aim of responding to the growing need to integrate sustainable criteria in sports management. The programme provides a comprehensive vision of the role of sport as an agent of change towards a more responsible development model aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

活动目标

Through a multidisciplinary approach, participants will acquire theoretical and practical knowledge related to current regulations, the measurement and reduction of environmental impact, the development of offset projects and the strategic communication of sustainability.

The main objective of the course is to train sports professionals, event managers and sports organizations to integrate sustainable practices into their daily operations. Specifically, the training will allow the analysis of the different areas of sustainability applied to sport, including the regulatory framework, the carbon footprint of events and facilities, offset projects and sustainable communication strategies.

In addition, this training action also contributes to disseminating the Sustainable Development Goals and their link with the sports field at all social levels and facilitating the design of action and monitoring plans that allow sustainable strategies to be implemented in sports organizations and events.

内容和框架

The course, with a total duration of 35 hours in online mode, will be available in the virtual classroom of CIFAL Málaga-UNITAR between March 1 and May 30, 2026, allowing it to be carried out with total schedule flexibility. The deadline for completion will be the end of May 2026.

The training will be developed through an online methodology that combines asynchronous and synchronous learning. The asynchronous training will allow students to advance autonomously through seven consecutive modules taught by specialists in the sector. Each module will include high-quality training videos, and the content will be accompanied by schematic summaries with an interactive design that will facilitate the understanding and review of key concepts.

The synchronous training will consist of online meetings scheduled in webinar format, with a duration of one hour per module. These sessions will allow direct interaction between students and teachers, promoting collaborative learning and the resolution of doubts.

The course will also have a permanent online forum that will facilitate communication between students, coordinators and teachers. At the end of the course, participants must take a final evaluation in which it will be necessary to exceed 80% of correct answers to qualify for the Certificate of Completion. Those students who also complete the satisfaction survey will be able to obtain the official certification issued by the COE and CIFAL Málaga-UNITAR by paying a fee of 80 euros.
