Planet
背景信息
In the framework of the EU-funded project CE-RISE (Circular Economy Resource Information System), UNITAR-SCYCLE is organizing a foundational training on the Digital Product Passports (DPP) for a Circular Economy.
DPP are a new way of storing and sharing important information about a product throughout its entire life cycle. In simple terms, a DPP is like a digital “ID card” for a product providing key information about its materials, origin, environmental impact, and how it can be repaired, reused, or recycled.
活动目标
As DPP become increasingly important within EU policies and everyday products, and are set to become mandatory across key product categories, this introductory session designed for non-experts will:
- Provide a clear and practical overview of DPP as a key tool of the EU’s transition towards a circular economy.
- Help participants better navigate upcoming changes and position themselves and their organisation in a rapidly evolving policy and market landscape.
- Enable participants to take more informed and sustainable choices and to engage with circular practices and waste reduction.
- Offer opportunities to exchange with peers from international organisations and academia.
No prior knowledge of DPP is required. The session is designed to be practical, accessible, and directly relevant to real-world contexts, using examples, short exercises and interactive discussion.
