UNEP West Asia and UNITAR’s SCYCLE Programme jointly organized the first-ever E-Waste Academy in Saudi Arabia. 

The Academy offered a broad curriculum tailored to the needs of emerging e-waste systems in the Kingdom. Key topics included:

• E-waste regulation and policy frameworks
• E-waste collection and environmentally sound treatment
• Transboundary movement of e-waste
• Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) and financing mechanisms
• Quantification and monitoring of e-waste flows
