Background
Global migration affects various dimensions of development at all levels. Estimates from the International Organization for Migration show that there are 244 million international migrants globally or 3.3% of the world’s population in 2018. In the Philippines, remittances from overseas Filipino workers contribute 10.2% to the gross domestic product based on data from the World Bank in 2019.
Event Objectives
The main objectives of this event are as follows:
- Promote awareness on matters related to the fields of public administration and governance, such as migration, by simplifying expert information that both practitioners and the public can understand.
- Increase the audience reach of CIFAL and partner
