Background

Brazil is undergoing transformations in the relationship between citizens, companies and government. According to data from the Office of Investigation and Fight against Organized Crime, Brazil lost R $ 123 billion to corruption schemes. These losses, in addition to reducing investments in basic education or health, promote a lack of interest in investment in Brazil, impacting on the country's economic growth. The Fiep System is committed to encouraging the socially responsible management of industries and fostering transparency and business competitiveness. In this sense, since 2013, in partnership with CIFAL Curitiba and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), it carries out actions that promote dialogue on ethics and transparency in the private sector and that evaluate the measures that must be taken to increase the importance of the theme in Brazil and in the world.
