Background

We propose a course that addresses the fundamental issues of citizen participation: regulations, methodologies, evaluation, practical cases ... from the perspective of the implementation of the SDGs.
How local governments can support the achievement of the SDGs at the national level through bottom-up actions and how the SDGs can provide a framework for local development policy.

Event Objectives

Provide specialized knowledge to develop and promote the implementation of citizen participation policies with an ODS perspective.

Learning Objectives

  • To learn how local strategies can be aligned with the SDGs
  • To know how local governments can increase the awareness and participation of their citizens in the SDGs
  • To know practical cases on local, regional and national level
     

Content and Structure

The course will be structured with these presentations and debates:

Wednesday, September 20

  • 17 examples of citizen action for the SDGs and the case of Málaga
  • Implement the SDGs in open government policies
  • Local governments, transmission belts of the SDGs to citizens
  • Design thinking for the co-creation of the location of the ODS from your organization

  • Communication and citizens participation
  • Citizen participation in Spain: from the norm to the practice
  • citizen participation and technology
  • Public management of citizen participation
  • How to articulate citizen participation in the 2030 Agenda?

 

Methodology

The Course lasts 16h face-to-face.

Targeted Audience

Public employees of local entities and the municipal public sector (public companies, foundations ...). Municipal public charges.
