Background
Social entrepreneurship allows individuals and groups to use creativity and ingenuity to address problems on both a local and global scale and igniting a push for social change. The sustainable development goals require leaders and social entrepreneurs to utilize innovation for social and environmental change to happen. Training in social entrepreneurship is crucial for today’s world in that it will help individuals tap into their potential as entrepreneurs and translate skills into solutions.
Event Objectives
The briefing aims to create discussion and awareness of the impact social entrepreneurship has for local and community growth. Key speakers will discuss how to leverage current resources and ingenuity into tangible results.
Content and Structure
The briefing consists of the following sessions:
- Two panel presentations by six (6) local, national and international speakers will focus on Financial and Impact Sustainability and Problem Mapping, Customer Discovery and Solution Identification.
- Drop-in-session and Q & A with social entrepreneur mentors
Methodology
This briefing includes two panel sessions consisting of short presentations and participant dialogue, with an opportunity for networking before and after the panels.

This briefing targets upcoming/new/small social enterprises and budding social entrepreneurs.
