Background

 With the support of the United Nations, China has constructed a national population information system covering a majority area of China from provinces, municipalities, and autonomous administrative regions which facilitates population analysis, population information research, research about the corelation between geographic environment and social economy. Quite a few countries have adopted the Population Information System as a modern technique approach.

 
The construction and application of population management system is a systems-engineering topic. Not only are information technology and database application involved, but also population statistics, demography, sociology and relative science are included.
