Learning Objectives

The final module of the UNITAR QCPR training series for delegates provides an overview of key highlights from previous modules and outlines the pathway to the 2024 QCPR. In this context, it will present a concise overview of the key outcomes of the recent Summit of the Future, the 2024 Financing for Development Forum (FFD) and the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF), elucidating the implications for the 2024 QCPR. Moreover, this module will delve into the lessons learned from the 2020 QCPR negotiations, drawing upon the experiences from the 2020 QCPR negotiation process. Additionally, Assistant Secretary-General and Director of the Development Coordination Office will share valuable perspectives derived from the implementation of the QCPR 2020, along with recommendations aimed at strengthening the system in the future. Finally, there will be an update provided by the drafters of the 2024 QCPR on the status of preparation.
