Antecedentes
The central principle of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is to ensure that no one is left behind. In the call for an inclusive and multisectoral collaboration, the United Nations recognizes and continues to facilitate meaningful youth engagement in international and intergenerational discourses, including water-related issues. In this digital age, it is crucial to empower young people to share their perspectives and strengthen their presence to drive innovation and develop water solutions. In commemoration of the World Youth Skills Day, UP-CIFAL Philippines, in partnership with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and CIFAL Global Network, holds a webinar on Prioritizing Youth Engagement in the Water and Sanitation Sector. The webinar aims to explore the significant role of young professionals in the effective promotion and implementation of water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) programmes. This webinar particularly highlights the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6: Clean Water and Sanitation, and SDG 17: Partnership for the Goals.
