Antecedentes

The event focuses on enhancing humanitarian aviation safety by addressing key topics expressed by states and partners from previous campaigns. Humanitarian aviation is vital for delivering aid to remote, crisis-affected regions, and operations often take place in challenging environments like conflict zones, natural disasters, and rugged terrain. The campaign is a joint initiative that aims to improve emergency and disaster response in the Central America and Caribbean Region by promoting preparedness and regional cooperation.

The event addresses the following areas: • Operation in remote/dangerous areas • Cargo operation information • Emergency Response Plans (ERPs) involving Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) • Partnering with actual service providers • Safety while managing a disaster • Desktop exercises/case studies on running an emergency • Practical applications and partnership efforts • Table-top exercises and visits to full-scale practices <br>• Resilience aspects during emergencies • Airport Emergency Plan • Examples of hurricane policies • Public health emergencies • Detailed emergency response procedures, especially for states with insufficient resources • Crisis/contingency management activities • Innovation and technology for humanitarian aviation operations • Regional collaboration for sustainability • Sharing of updates and experiences to enhance awareness and preparation

Metodología

The event features a series of presentations, panels, and exercises, including a table-top exercise. Participants are encouraged to submit short presentations to share experiences
